Pastor John Claussen

We are so very devastated at the loss of our beloved Pastor John. Pastor John passed away on March 18th. He was our Pastor for 12 years and we are all grieving along with his family. You can read the obituary here. Please check back for information regarding his public celebration of life service, which will take place after the virus situation allows us to gather again. Church leadership is working together to help us through this time. Pastor John’s brother Walt Claussen, and his son Gabriel Claussen, will be preaching in his place through Easter. More information will be given soon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES:

Announcement 3/17/2020: ALL regular activities and worship services at Park Avenue Christian Church are canceled for the next 4 weeks. Sadly this even includes our Holy Week and Easter services. As an alternative, there will be online only worship services on Sunday mornings at 10:30am here on Facebook.

More information will be posted very soon and a letter will be sent to all church members with more information including how to reach out if you are in need, and how to give your tithes and offerings.

This decision comes after the Governor made a proclamation (3/17/2020) that states in part:

“E. Mass Gathering: Social, community, spiritual, religious, recreational, leisure, and sporting gatherings and events of more than 10 people are hereby prohibited at all locations and venues, including but not limited to parades, festivals, conventions, and fundraisers. Planned large gatherings and events must be canceled or postponed until after termination of this disaster.”
